Head of Pre Prep

Salary: Leadership Pay Range

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Head of Pre Prep to join the Senior Leadership Team at this successful school.

Candidates will have as a minimum prior experience of leadership in the EYFS and Key Stage 1 and will be expected to contribute to the strategic aims of the whole school.

Oakfield’s strengths stem from its diversity and the individual attention given to all pupils. School Business Manager, Full time

We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager at Oakfield Preparatory School.   Oakfield Preparatory School was established in 1887 and joined Education Development Trust in 2001. Located in Dulwich, the school is non-selective and aims to give pupils aged from 2 to 11 an environment where they can develop during their formative years.  As one of three schools that Education Development Trust owns (two based in the United Kingdom and one overseas), Oakfield has begun development of its Master Plan with the aim of the school having state of the art facilities and infrastructure to support education delivery. As a member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Head Teacher on the day to day running of the school, contributing to the school’s strategic development plan and collaborating with the UK Independent Schools group. The School Business Manager manages a diverse range of activities, and the successful candidate will have experience in managing finance, human resources, procurement, information technology, estate management and health & safety. A key component of the role will be assisting the SLT and School achieve its strategic objective through planning, implementation and assessing. Previous experience as a School Business Manager, Bursar or similar role is essential. The successful applicant will be someone who takes the initiative with a focus on the solution and understands and applies the principles of responsibility and accountability.  They will need a strong background in financial management and will have an accounting qualification or relevant accounting experience which will be reflected in their recent previous roles. In addition, the School Business Manager role requires a collaborative approach to leadership along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They need to be highly astute and dynamic, innovative and effective at identifying and implementing solutions to problems.
